The upcoming Kia CV heralds a new era for Kia electric vehicles

2021 is shaping up to be a big year for the Kia Brand. With the Kia Optima bowing out to the new Kia K5, the Kia Carnival picking up where the Kia Sedona left off, and the impressively luxe Kia K8 waiting in the wings, there’s a lot of change coming to the Kia lineup. But as impressive as those new models are, it’s the rumored new Kia CV that’s truly captured our imagination here at Willowbrook Kia. This stylish and technologically sophisticated new electric crossover is poised to set the benchmark for its segment, and we’re confident that drivers from all over the greater Chicago area are going to want to get their hands on one.

Now, what sets the new Kia CV electric crossover apart from other EVs for sale near Bolingbrook, Naperville, and Downers Grove these days? Well, if initial reporting is to be believed, quite a bit!

For one thing, initial testing indicates that the Kia CV will have up to 311 miles of all-electric range, making it a true marathon runner in the competitive EV segment. Better still, it’s said to have lightning-fast charging abilities, enabling it to charge up to 62 miles of range in just four minutes time. And when you factor in a 0 to 60 mph time of roughly three seconds, it’s easy to see how the Kia CV eclipses many current competitors.

That being said, this is very early reporting on the capabilities of this new electric crossover. Even the name the Kia CV is just a codename, so there’s no telling what the final product will be called. However, it still represents a significant step forward for the Kia EV lineup, and we can’t wait to see the final result on our showroom floor.
